    Now, THAT would be ironic.

There is some dude on TD defending Lacy. Was getting pretty ugly, sure the mods will clean it up.

All I remember 3 years ago is almost no one seemed to be upset when Lacy hit the portal. This includes his head and position coach. I almost got the sense that Des et Leger were very happy he left. Now the manner in which he left knowing he was already lined up with getting lawyer NIL money was blatanly obvious. Too obvious. Seems LSU NIL and other P4 all quickly learned to do their recruiting with out of state G5 players. See UH. Too many people "in the know" with local players at local Universities. TSAB has since taken 0 portal players from UL Tulane or LTURd
even though dozens have since been poached by rival P4

...Poach at will but keep it at a safe distance.

Lacy himself? Apparently people gave descriptions detailed enough to find the smoking gun (car) and it's owner fairly quickly. If he was driving or passenger in his car......He 100% deserves what is coming

Didn't stop the Rams from employing Leonard Little.

Looks like someone was having fun in his NIL toy and treated the several 1000 pound machine as if he were in a go cart. Irresponsibility.

"I cant play in bowl game or continue school so i can focus 100 percent of time on draft prep"

"How does speed racing prepare one for draft"

I just looked up name meaning of kyren, yikes, dont think it can be posted

If they stop "giving" players their grades, then that could start to hold up so many portal transfers. But it would also be in essence tattling on themselves if data shows players staying have better grades at a higher rate

That is something I've wondered...if in this new era, do college athletes still have to gain a certain percentage of credits towards their major each year in order to remain eligible? If I remember correctly, it was something like 25% after sophomore year, 50% after junior, etc.

Because with some of these guys attending three schools in three years, I can't see how the heck they're maintaining that percentage.

At this point haven't the courts basically said that there can be no restrictions that limit one's ability to make money off of their NIL?

I'm not even sure how they can have any eligibility requirements at all..

    Division I
40 percent of required coursework for a degree must be complete by the end of the second year, 60 percent by the end of the third year and 80 percent by the end of their fourth year.
Student-athletes are allowed five years of eligibility and athletically related financial aid.
All Division I student-athletes must earn at least six credit hours each term to be eligible for the following term and must meet minimum grade-point average requirements related to the school’s GPA standards for graduation.

If anyone goes read “The Rant”, Tiger_Stomp is apparently related to Lacey. Nobody has cleaned that up yet, 40+ pages.

They’ve gone down the rabbit hole.

Thanks Turbine for not letting RP get that stupid.

Earn a minimum of 6 credits.
    That’s laughable!!
