Opelousas Police Press Release: On Thursday the Opelousas Police Department's Crime Suppression Team closed down another crack dealers business. Opelousas Police Chief Perry Gallow said the CST Team has been watching a residence in the 700 block of
Lourdes Street
for a few weeks and gathered enough information to get a search warrant issued for the house. Chief Gallow states the CST Team executed the search warrant and arrested Mr. Timothy Woolridge after locating a large amount of crack cocaine. Officers located Crack Cocaine in Mr. Woolridge's closet. There were four and a half cookies of crack cocaine in the pockets of shirts hanging in the closet and an ounce of powder cocaine in the pocket of a pair of jeans in the dresser. A fully loaded pistol was located in a clothes basket next to the bed. There was also approximately $500.00 in cash located in the same drawer as the powder cocaine. Mr. Woolridge is currently out on parole for a prior drug charge. No matter how much drug dealers try to hide their drugs they will be found and they will be arrested. The OPD pledges to clean up the drugs in the City of Opelousas, and this is an example of how our Department is working to clean up the City.
