UL cannot stop anybody from wearing the suit, especially since there is no current existing spirit leader, Albineaux uses none of their owned I.P., and they have stated they are currently not pursuing a new mascot.

The RCAF, and Krewe Allons ask this community for money everyday, with absolutely no guarantees on returns. RCAF staff can leave and Krewe Allons funded players can transfer.

Albineaux isn’t going anywhere. This will be a tangible investment into the future of Ragin Cajuns student life.

Corey you didn't answer my first three questions of my post and you are now asking me to trust you. You are now speaking out of two sides of your mouth. In numerous threads you have said you are not in this for the money and now you are basically saying you wouldn't refund anyone if they donated and this doesn't pan out since in your words there are no guarantees. This sounds like a cash grab to me. Yes UL can stop someone from wearing the suit especially when they would have no clue who is wearing the suit. My sources with the big wigs at UL are telling me UL doesn't like the name. Albineaux will not happen.

Dude are you serious? I was going to set up a gofundme but its not my baby! Just expect that you donate to any gofundme there is no way to get your money back! How would you? Now you think its a money grab, yes he set this up for the big money grab for this moment. It was 7 yrs in the making waiting for this specific moment. Well if you don’t trust the person then don’t donate.

You donate it goes to an external account, its not like that person who is doing the gofundme has access to your account also the person doesnt know who donated!

Plus if the money was used and the costume was built what you gonna tell the mascot company you didnt want it?

I am not sure if you all or Cory realize the reality of today's unconformtable world, so I will say it:

Some people will only see "race" if the Gator will be white.
Some people will only think we are making fun of people with "albinism" by calling the mascot "Albineaux"

I know it sounds crazy, but it is the country we live in of everyone getting feelings hurt nowadays. Yea its crazy because a black man actually created this mascot with no intentions of any of the above, but out of his love for UL. He is super talented.
Just stating the reality of the sitituation. 20 years ago we didn't have to deal with things like this, but now we do.

So keep the Gator, make him red or green and change the name.

This is the reason Martin Hall will most likely never give Albineaux their blessing.

Folks, this Alligator is white. Where in all of creation is a white alligator related to Louisiana. We have black Alligators in our one of a kind SWAMP in the MIDDLE of our CAMPUS.

This seems like an easy solution that I can support. Make the gator mascot green with a red outfit and change the name. We can have a fan created mascot with the university's support. Let’s make it happen!
