We all seem to agree on the gator as a Ragin’Cajuns’ mascot. How do we get the university to endorse it?

Hey y’all. Just wanted to give an update to those who are interested.

I’m sure most you know by know that my fundraiser was successful. Through the support of amazing fans, and the grace of God, I was able to order a mascot costume that we as fans can call an unofficial mascot. The suit is still being worked on at the production warehouse but it is happening. They sent me a preview picture of the head. I mean…wow. He’s real. After fours years, and a lot of unnecessary trials, he’s really really real. It brings me so much pride as fan and an artist. Realistically, Al won’t be ready to go for tailgates until late October/early November; in part to me getting married in October to an amazing woman.

I can’t state my appreciation enough to those of you that believe in this project and this character. I have even higher appreciation to those of you who may not like the character, but at least didn’t try to stop a fan from just being fan.

Albineaux is not going to go anywhere he’s not wanted. If the university doesn’t want him in the stadium than he’s not going to go. (The way our team is looking this year, idk how many people will want to anyway.) Albineaux is only here to entertain fans. When enough fans want that entertainment in the stadium, he’ll come.

Until then, there’s so much we as fans can do to make new game day traditions that could last for generations.

Also I want to take a moment to thank those of you who called me a “crook.” Said I ran off with people’s money after the university did some bogus PR to stop my campaign. You know who you are.

Those remarks 1) hurt because I ain’t never stole anything my life and all I want to do is help the fanbase, and 2) motivated me more to find every opportunity to give into the campaign.

Not liking the mascot is one thing, but insinuating I would ever steal from this community I love is flat out wrong and disrespectful. I’m not a politician. If I say I’m going to do something, even facing improbable odds, I’m going to find a way to do it. And I’m always happy to prove those doubters wrong.

Speak for yourself.

I, and many others, don't support this at all. I haven't been very vocal because I made a decision to not get in the way of an organic movement that comes from the fan base IF that is what this was.
