Being unable to catch it and it being nothing to be ashamed of have nothing to do with the fact that it is a condition. It IS a genetic condition that can have long-term health implications for those affected by it. That poses at least a reasonable question as to if it should be used as the cheeky nickname for a school’s mascot. The problem is that reasonable discussion doesn’t occur when the creator of the idea is brushed aside.
