There are a few, but most of the coaches are out this week. We should hear something next week on a few. No, I don't know their names. I'll just wait like everyone else when the athlete puts out their commitments.

Where do you look and how do you know who to look for? there are hundreds of kids in the portal and they use very cryptic names.

You are correct sir. I also think we need to pick up talent at LB and DL. Defense needs some help from the portal if we're going to get to 10 wins next season.

Jaelen Crider is a 305 lb DL from I think Toledo(?)...has one year here as a grad transfer.

I spoke with someone in the building that told me they had a few more in the boat, I didn't ask who. They have several staff members following the portal fulltime, so there are a number of players that pop-up on their X-accounts. Coach Des usually will follow them after the commit or if they are looking at visiting someone. But don't look for his account to list them because he doesn't unless it's to evaluate an athlete before setting up a visit.

They also follow some kids in the portal to see if they will fall through the cracks. That usually means we will not offer them if they are visiting P4's and looking for bags. This staff knows how to be deceptive on social media because other programs watch their accounts as well.

If anyone wants to know why Houston continues to contact UL athletes, its because their familiarity with Louisiana and our staff.
