I wonder if there is anything that prohibits the university from using images of an athlete in marketing material who is no longer enrolled.
There may not be with the NIL “rules” yet, but you can damn well bet some trial lawyer will convince a tranferree to file a suit against his previous university should they use his “image” as a way to promote the program…such as pictures of All Conference, etc players.
I guess I can get his viewpoint but he gave less than stellar effort in the Conference Championship game, didn't play in the bowl game and then is leaving for a better opportunity. How can he expect us to still promote his accomplishment as we are promoting team players? Dude, you leave us high and dry we owe you nothing!
