No, Boise was the 3 seed and, while they deserved to be in the playoff, they were more of a 7 or 8 seed than a 3. They were WAY over rated.

The outcome of any bowl game means nothing to where they were ranked at the end of the season.

They lost 10 players to the portal, and while sheer numbers don't tell a complete story, it creates a big enough unknowns to not declare where they really belonged.

It was a scam. They made them the top seeds to pretend they were inclusive, but it was really so those teams didnt get the benefit of a home game

Mostly true, but you gotta give Arizona St. credit for the comeback and almost pulling it off. They got screwed on the obvious targeting that wasn't called.
