The Swamp

I tried very hard to get the administration to trademark 'The Swamp' before Florida did. I had no luck.

UF filed the trademark. I believe they asked us to stop using it, and we complied.

That last part is second-hand, so I'm not sure. But I can't remember the last time I saw anything official from UL that used the name.

Im not sure either.

Doesn't seem like it sould have been granted with Louisiana having such a long history of usage in the same arena (pun)

First I hear of it for sure.

I wonder the result if either Clemson or LSU tried to trademark Death Valley

Bone headed move of the 20th Century to not legally claim/own The Swamp trademark....and then there's the that whole Ragin Cajun thing....

I think that idea is being floated around already

floated...... hmmm

How about a tethered floating (Quad replica) three sided FDL in the middle of the Swamp?

It can have a champions square deck for the campus mascot and his associates to crawl up on and sunbathe.

It can also have a needed (timed) aeration fountain for the Swamp.

We can have one just like it at the Stadium.

Wow. This is amazing information. Cant believe they were able to trademark it, especially since it was so obvious it wasnt always called that
