FORT POLK, La. (AP) - A soldier based at Fort Polk has been
found dead in his home on the central Louisiana Army base.
Military officials say the soldier's body was found about 6 a.m.
Wednesday by his wife, who called emergency personnel.
The soldier was transported to Bayne-Jones Army Community
Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An Army spokesman says preliminary findings revealed no signs of
foul play. However, the cause of death remains under investigation.
The soldier's name has not been released.
