Default So turns out Marlin could have finished out the year.

Don't know why he chose to leave now. His players were still playing hard.

    Why go out this way?

Financial reasons. We all would have made the same decision. No one turns down the beyond 6 figure advantage he gained by leaving now. That is according to the figures reported by Kevin Foote in yesterday’s Acadiana Advocate.

After 15 years of making $500k+ / year he could have decided his legacy was worth more than $200k.

The decision he made to leave the team mid season supports some of the issues fans have expressed about Marlin.

More pleased about Maggard/T-Joe pulling the trigger for much needed change in December before the 1st Conference game than anything Marlin chose after.

The fish is gone....it is finally over.
