While a change was necessary for the program, Marlin the man is a good guy. I wish him the best.

Exactly. Even though it could be projected the Cajuns will be out the SBC tournament quickly in March, Maggard will get an early start with the search process and be ready with the right hire.

That's a great question. I'm sure someone had to have done that to get the financials right

Imagine if Bob had been embarrassed by Will Wade and lost his ____ ... It was likely going to happen

At least Wade won't get that satisfaction

I’m shocked, felt he was going to be allowed to finish the season, but he was a dead man walking.

From anyone in this situation in the manager/employee roles, there’s never a good day to get canned.

Policarp is pleased. It was time. Feels very much like the Nelson Stokley firing , at least for me.... loved Coach Stokley the person, it was time for a change. I wish nothing but the best for Coach Marlin et his family

Next few weeks are going to be funnerer

Hopefully the personal insults and the like can be left in the past. From this point forward the focus should be on the future and positivity. Everyone that said they were done until he was gone, this is your chance. Put your money where your mouth is. It starts Sunday. Should be a few thousand more people at the mcneese game wearing red if all that was said is true. If you don’t show up and don’t show out with the $$$ then it’s all for naught. Hopefully see you all on Sunday in the dome.

I said I believe he will make an excellent head coach one day and that he will eventually end up on an NBA staff. I never said soon. I do believe he will work his way up.
