The century started in 2000. Its how we count.
Year zero is the first year.
A whole number indicates a completed year.
Just because a baby hasn't turned one yet, they are smack dab in year one and any events that happen in their first year must be counted as part of their life.
The whole number reflects what is completely completed, not where you are in the stream of time.
A marriage does not start after the first anniversary.
A zero year such as 2000 is the beginning of the Century.
The mistake is believing the Romans got year one right and forgetting how numbers are actually counted.
I’ve never seen anyone celebrate a zero anniversary. Babies for example are dated by months until they complete the first year. With your logic, when my mom turns 99, she’s actually lived a century, because she had year zero.
Besides, the US military disagrees with you.

None of this matters. Maggard will make a great hire. But will the choice be accepted by all? 100% guaranteed no. lol.
