I think the insults will be determined by how the rebounders club and others in marlins circle react.
Virtually all Rebounders will support program regardless of who the coach is.

Blind loyalty is not good for the program. JMO

We gotta up our NIL game if we want WW to even take a phone call.

He will apply. Has nothing to lose.

UL’s next basketball coach will probably be someone whose name has not been mentioned yet. Maggard is good at holding his cards tight. Besides, here’s WW’s:

Will Wade, the head coach of the McNeese State Cowboys basketball team, signed a five-year contract extension on February 6, 2024:
Salary: Wade will earn a record $700,000 per year
Buyout: Wade's buyout is $1.25 million if he leaves before August 31, 2024, and $1 million if he leaves before August 31, 2025
Other conditions: Wade may also receive bonuses for various achievements, including conference championships, NCAA tournament wins, and being named conference or national coach of the year

    ———-

He’s in his second show cause year. He’s a free man June 25, 2025. He’ll be gone. Being the time restrictions are done, nothing stopping him.
The show-cause order includes the following restrictions:
Wade cannot participate in off-campus recruiting activities during April or summer evaluation periods
Wade's official visits are reduced by four during the 2023-24 and 2024-25 academic years
Wade cannot have recruiting conversations between September 1, 2023 and October 15, 2023, and September 1, 2024 and October 15, 2024
McNeese State must demonstrate why Wade should not be held to these restrictions.

I think support for program regardless of coach is the opposite of blind loyalty.

Blind loyalty got UL where we are today. Thats why the next coach will be like CBN and CGG. Known only when it’s time.

We’ve know Marlin wasn’t the right move for over a handful of years. Blind loyalty is detrimental to an athletic dept.

Should be a few thousand more people at the mcneese game wearing red if all that was said is true. If you don’t show up and don’t show out with the $$$ then it’s all for naught. Hopefully see you all on Sunday in the dome.
I don't remember the personal insults. I just remember people questioning where the program was
