LCA, Opelousas, Newman, and the list goes on of schools that sued the LHSAA to get their way. Courts ruled that the LHSAA is a private entity, however Baton Rouge judges continue to stick their nose in their business. All schools agree to be a part of the LHSAA and agree to the rules & appeals process but some still can't help themselves. University is the latest to try and screwed up many of the brackets.
First off you have schools on the select side with middle school "coaches" running youth organizations and recruiting 12 year olds to their school. It also happens at some non-select schools but the majority is at select. However, my favorite is certain select schools using the Catholic Church scholarships for athletes or having accounts that parents donate into in order to help certain athletes with tuition.
You also have schools like Acadiana using their school of choice (business) to get guys not in their zone, into the school for football.
