Coach Desomeaux is great in many ways, but I am advocating for him to build a stronger connection with the fanbase by publicly acknowledging us more often. While he clearly values the team, extending that pride and recognition to the fans could indeed foster a deeper sense of community. Coaches who actively engage with their supporters—whether through social media, public appearances, or even heartfelt comments in interviews—tend to build a more loyal and passionate following.

If he were to emphasize his connection to the fans more, it could certainly lead to increased engagement, both in terms of attendance at games and support for initiatives like NIL. In the world of college sports, fans are integral not just for morale, but for the financial and emotional support of the team. It might not take much to make fans feel like they’re part of the journey, and that could help create the kind of atmosphere that drives both fan and team success.
