    Just my opinion....
Don't bring actual candidates to the discussion. It is laughable that so many of you want Brad Boyd as the head coach. We are better than that. He can have an assistant job, but he is so far behind the curve on ever being a college coach. Kellen is probably not attainable but that is the type of coach we need to be contacting. Hodgson at Arkansas State is a perfect example of a guy we need. Young, hungry recruiter. He can get dudes to go there. Very important to go get a young guy that has connections around the country and is not afraid to go on the road and recruit. Marlin hasn't done that in years.

    Looking at our peers...
Richie Riley - After six years at the helm of South Alabama men’s basketball, Richie Riley has led the Jaguar program to six straight non-losing for the first time since 1983-1989.

I'd call Bryce Drew, Billy Gillispie, or Kyle Keller if we wanted a coach with head coaching experience.

At this point, I'm willing to try anything. But whether Brad gets the job or not, he needs to be on the staff regardless of who the coach is. He's passionate, he can sell, and he can relate to the youth which can do wonders for recruiting. Those are 3 characteristics that this program currently lacks.

You thought people got mad when Des was hired because of his qualifications? Hire brad and excrement will hit the fan.

I'll leave that up to the new coach to decide who he wants on his staff. I'm very certain Boyd won't be on it.

I get what your saying and you are not wrong but they are not the same.

Football was dealing from strength. Basketball is reeling from weakness.

This position is an outstanding opportunity for some BB genius. Show him our facilities and teach him of our history. We could land an outstanding, polished gem. Overnight turnaround possibility.

Return to Glory. Cajuns Basketball is not this.

Football was replacing a coach on a top 25 team with a local guy assistant coach

Basketball could probably give the clipboard to a chimpanzee and do just as well as we're doing right now

    Devin Johnson - Texas A&M
    Another younger option.

What's laughable is letting things get to this point
