Thread: Time to give Brad Boyd a shot.

Brad would work well as the lead assistant...head coach? Doesn't have the chops.... you're asking the guy to move on from putting together Jr. High and HS tourneys to managing 19 to 21 years old... I like the guy, but the program needs to make a splash hire...

Gary has accomplished way more than Marlin has. So I don’t know what to tell you.

The very first line of this thread is "I approve of hiring Brad Boyd immediately." Granted, you didn't say it. But that's what I'm responding to.

Fine, hire David Patrick. Put Brad on staff and watch the magic.

That’s where he was associate HC last year. Check the record.

    I agree.

    Milk the process.

High school recruits need to know basketball exists at Louisiana.

Oh yeah let’s not even talk about the support a change would garner. Brad would triple the attendance.

But sure, let’s put our noses in the air and think this program is too good for Brad.
"Runs a robust youth program"? Am I hearing this right? Geezus, being a successful college coach has nothing to do with how good of a youth coach you are. I'd argue that most, if not all, successful college coaches have no experience in running youth programs because they were too busy contributing to higher level programs and gaining experience there....
