The Independence has always been very pro-Tech, and pretty much anti-UL, and I would guess, ULM.

Were you around when a MOU between the SBC and the IB said UL was supposed to get the slot, and they violated the agreement to keep us out?

There was a similar problem back when the Southland champion got the pick. Finally, just once in all of our decades in the conference, we won the conference. Just once.

We were denied the championship. The SLC said we had an 'ineligible' receiver. We pointed out that we had cleared the player with the NCAA.

"Yes," the SLC replied, "but you didn't clear it with us."

Anyway, Tech gets Army. I wouldn't wish that on ULM, it's going to be an exsanguination. Tech's last mark in 1A football might just be a nasty blue & red smear all up & down the Independence Bowl turf...
