    Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football AJ Gillie earned postseason honors earlier this week.

    Gillie, being named honorable mention All-America notice from College Football Network.

    Gillie was one of two players on the Ragin' Cajuns offensive line to start all 13 games this season.

    The Natchitoches, La., was a key leader on an offensive line that enabled Louisiana to rank fifth in FBS programs for tackles for loss allowed (3.58), 18th in total offense, and 44th in rushing offense, resulting in a regular season record of 10-2.

    Durable member of the offensive line starting in all 13 games at left guard … third-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection in 2023 … tallied 41 knockdowns through the regular season in 845 snaps … posted a season-high grade of 94 percent at Minnesota and earned a grade of 93 in a win over Texas State … a key member of the offensive line where he helped the Ragin' Cajuns offense rank second in the SBC in rushing offense and third in scoring.

    2022 Season (Redshirt Sophomore)
    Played and started in all 13 games during the season while rating as one of the top linemen in the Sun Belt Conference … Registered a team-high 53 knockdowns on the season with 11 coming against South Alabama (Oct. 1) … Graded 80-percent or better in 11 games, including a 93-percent grade in three contests … Graded at 87 percent with six knockdowns against eventual SBC champion Troy.

    2021 Season (Redshirt Freshman)
    Started 12 of 14 games at left guard ... Member of the offensive line that ranked fourth in the Sun Belt and tied for 42nd nationally with 1.86 sacks allowed and paved the way for Louisiana’s rushing attack which ranked 40th in the nation with 187.1 yards per game … The upfront unit was named a Joe Moore Award Semifinalist for their impactful play.

    2020 Season (Redshirt Freshman)
    Did not see any action or record any stats in 2020.

    2019 Season (Freshman)
    Played against Texas Southern (Sept. 14) and in the LendingTree Bowl against Miami (Ohio) (Jan. 6).

    High School
    One of three offensive linemen to sign on Wednesday, Feb. 6...He made an appearance in the state's first-ever LGF Bowl...After a strong senior season, was named to the Louisiana District 2-5A First Team...Chose Louisiana over a scholarship offer from Army.
