Building a successful college football program takes more than a head coach and some star power. It takes a staff and assistant coaches to produce a championship-caliber team and that is the case for Louisiana football.

The Ragin’ Cajuns have invested in their assistant coaching staff as one of the highest-paid groups in the Sun Belt Conference. Although head coach Michael Desormeaux is currently the 11th-highest-paid head coach in the Sun Belt, his assistant coaches' combined salaries are the highest paid in the conference.

That's probably the best combo to try to have at a G5. Plus, if that staff helps win a bunch of games like they did this season, then I'm sure it bumps Dez's total earnings for the season up in the rankings amongst SBC head coaches.
