Don't hate them too much. They are happy to be in the conference with us.

They have a lot in common with us, except that they are not trying to escape oppression from one school, but two. They are R1, and are trying hard to move up in their academics, as well as athletics.

And they are the only other charter member of 1A in the 'Belt.

It looks like most of the Marshall portal players are following Huff to USM. They're gonna be a problem next season

One benefit of hiring a sitting head coach is that you also get to "hire" that team's players out of the portal.

Southern Miss has added at least 8 Marshall transfers since hiring Charles Huff.

Indiana loaded up on JMU transfers last year. Same with Alabama with Washington.

And BTW, as I pointed out in another thread, Marshall hired Huff after they let Doc Holliday go... after 4 straight bowl appearances, right after he won C-USA East, and right after he was named C-USA Coach of the Year.

I get the impression these boys & girls are a bit out of touch with reality. It's like they're double-dog daring the gods of football to strike them down.
