I wouldn’t call it an outflow for our program. Unless others are called flood gates. After Billy left was an outflow. It’s been a trickle since. We’ve been one of the least portal out school in the country the last 2 years and this season is not terrible so far. Like was said, it’s going to happen.

You're correct. Not sure what he's done since, but he was a good prospect coming out of high school.

We have an All Pro OL from a East Texas 1A.

According to On 3, 1400 uncommitted players in the portal. There are enough QB's in there for every FBS school to have at least one new QB next season. TJ Finley is back in the portal. Seems like he's been around 6 or 7 years. This situation has gotten ridiculous.

And that's FBS Numbers. Over 300 WR/TE and growing. It'll settle soon....possibly over 400 FBS WR/TE. Nearly 3 per team. Not sure what FCS counts are.

Not worried at all that Des et staff will be net portal.winners again. We truly need OL DL NT. Recruiting for skill positions in our Texas to FL Panhandle base is not our weakness

    Agreed.

I've said since this started that as long as the straw has a fixed length, Louisiana will not suffer for want of talent.

The talent graveyards will spit them out as fast as they take them in.

The hard part will not be finding talent, it will be for the fans to let go of really liking a player only to see him leave after a year. The hard part will be the changing nature of being a fan.

If you get a good coach who knows how to spot talent and build flexible systems that don’t require multiple years of system experience at every key position then you will win games. But the fans will have to get used to the players being mercenaries rather than kids committed whole heartedly to the same school the fan loves.

My son is in college and has to pay taxes on his income. Do the players not pay taxes on NIL money?
