Best arm talent UL has ever had. He was already making the 15 yard outs and back shoulder throws in high school. He has enough mobility to be a threat. The only downside with this kid is that if he has a great year, he could immediately head back to a P4 team.

Louisiana is a good path to the NFL

Learning a new system every year is low level advantageous.

Portal movement often depends on if the athlete is playing for a $oon day playing weak end, or the Sunday playing weekend.

I find it shocking that the transfer of Walker Howard here has been met with very tepid response. I dont understand it. Thoughts?

My first chance to reply to the thread. I'm excited that Walker is a Cajun now and I think most fans are. I would say though, it's like signing any recruit, it's all based on potential. He literally has no (ok a tiny bit) experience on the field. Actually, similar to Ben before he transferred to UL from Fresno St. It took a while for Ben to get to the player he became. Walker appears to have a higher ceiling but it's a wait and see what happens, at this point. Welcome aboard Walker, glad to have you as a Cajun QB.

Hopefully this kid is good. I think he was 4th string at LSU and 3rd string at ole miss. Stars out of high school are pretty meaningless at this point. There will be a pretty solid open competition for the starting job in the spring.
