I dont think their home base of 709' feet will give TCU any advantage.

Running? Hell just hiking is harder. Of course, my lungs are as old as I am so maybe that is part of the problem.

I think we can all agree, a nice pair of lungs is always a good thing to have!

Heck, years ago I told my cardiologist I ran the Cajun Cup from the 5 mile mark in and he said “Stop. Do not run. Walk.” LOL

Edit: my bad- I see the other black and gold school in the SBC plays at another "The Rock". It makes more sense there since they are in a mountainous area
USM's stadium isn't named 'The Rock' for the height. When it was built, the school had a great idea: Let's hire the FB team for construction!

The work turned out to be so tough, the team called it 'Alcatraz.'

    Hence, 'The Rock.'

UL needs to find a way to tie-in the "on-campus" Swamp with the football stadium "The Swamp". UL also needs to have a FDL Fountain at the athletic complex similar to the FDL Fountain in the quad on campus. Perhaps when the east side of the stadium is finished and offices moved into that new facility, UL can create a quad in place of the old admin offices (Cox bldg.) to include that. I would also propose having the FDL Fountain encircled by lettermen bricks much like the on campus alumni bricks surrounding the quad. On each brick could be an FDL, name and years lettered. I'll bet each letterman wouldn't mind paying for their brick. It might also bring more lettermen back to games to show their families "their brick".

Since our athletic facilities are not on campus, we need to find a way to tie-in to both. We should embrace both Swamps and FDL which are unique to UL.

I think that idea is being floated around already
