Des said there is a chance Ben will play. He says Ben certainly wants to.

We all hope he’s healthy enough. Could be the last opportunity he has to play football.

I would put good money on Ben playing Unless he has a setback.

Given our QB situation, LL2 has to be in the game plan...RPO!

No, we recruited Beale to hopefully be our future. If Ben cant go then let beale have the chance with full prepartion to see how he can perform. Also, lance needs to showcase his WR abilities for pro scouts.

    A few “wildcat” packages, sure.

But LL2 has the makings of a potential NFL receiver, in my unprofessional opinion. He has progressed hugely the past two seasons.

Look at this season. First two games (Grambling & Kennesaw), he totaled 43 yards receiving and 0 TDs.

After, over the past 11 games, which were the critical and competitive games on our schedule, he averaged 70.09 receiving yards per game and caught 6 TD passes.

Being how much we constantly rotate receivers and throw to all of them, that’s a pretty significant average YPG.

I think playing this kid at QB in his last game, last chance to show NFL abilities for scouts, would be doing him a disservice. With both Carter and Broussard evidently gone, we need LL2 to be our go-to in the passing game.

Only if the intention of this bowl game is to give Beale playing time, assuming Ben doesn't play. If the intention is to beat TCU and Ben isn't a go, then we better have a plan to mix it up with a wildcat/RPO in the game plan. LL2 is our best player for that situation. In fact, I expected to see this after the South Al game when Ben was hurt because it was mentioned during August that there would be some wildcat plays for him. If not mistaken, he may have taken a couple of snaps earlier in the season, but not sure.

As I've stated previously from talking to his Dad, I expect Ben to play unless he has a setback.

On the flip side, with a "wildcat package in the bowl game along with being top passing game target, he could market himself as a Taysom Hill type player at the next level.

Des has stated during season there had been no plans to use LL2 in wildcat situations. We gave Beale a scholarship for a reason.
