Was AJ Gillie grades or opt out ??
I don't understand you folks. We have one of the youngest head coaches in the country. After two 6-7 seasons, he gave us our fourth 10-win season in our history. We're in the most talent-rich state in the nation, and he is bringing us up precisely as several other schools in the state, those against whom we have to compete for recruits, are struggling.
He's up against several things. First, he's a new head coach. Second, he's very young. Third, he has to establish his own culture in the program.
And fourth, and this one is the most important to me, and I hope to many of you, from everything I can see he's trying to do it right. He is trying to build a clean program that gives our players an education, and turns them into men.
No one gets it all.
No one gets most of it right away.
And above all of it, is the point I keep hammering on all the time. We want athletics, but unlike many of the schools against whom we compete, we don't have to have athletics. We are surging forward in academics. Athletics are a luxury.
And overall, considering our resources, I think we are doing damned well.
Chill. The future looks beautiful.
Happy New Year.
First off, exactly…a unit that wasn’t dominant lost 3 starters pretty much the week of, hard to get continuity. Second, you said historically has been a weakness when in fact OL here, has been a strength judging by the guys currently In the NFL and we normally run it down peoples throat.
TCU had their OL intact
Cajuns down 3 OL
Rushing
Cajuns 33-114 3.5
TCU 33-110 3.3
Sack
Cajuns 2
TCU 3
Tfl
Cajuns 6
TCU 8
So either Cajuns defense wasn’t as bad as some here think or Cajuns OL held up pretty well considering.
Cajuns secondary is terrible in zone. And our WR/TE, which we know were depleted, had a terrible game collectively. QB’s weren’t good either.
