    Great point!

So who are the employees in this scenario? Just staff and STUDENT athletes? If you're equating athletes as employees, then ALL students at the university need to be paid. And what would you call a paid tuition? That's not free....somebody is paying for it.

No such thing as student athletes anymore.

Then sit out of college football until you're eligible for the PROS. See how that works out. Or......you can go get a fully paid education, nutrition, free gym, strength training and a program for you to showcase your ability for the next level.

Now I understand we're not putting the toothpaste back in the tube. But this is unsustainable. This generation and the adults perpetuating all this equate the word "fair" with "entitled". You want to get paid for your "NIL", great. Whoever pays it, your payment goes with them to the next stop. You want more than a free education, gym, nutrition, training, platform, etc...Great, you leave, you pay back what was given to you.

And now that I typed all that, I realize how "get off my lawn" I sound and how nothing I think or say will matter. LoL! Enjoy what's in front of us now, and let the chips fall where they may, I guess.

By the way, if you have about 4 hours that you need something relaxing, zen, and non stressful to watch....this was time well spent.

All I’m saying is, how long did you think adults were going to take in billions of dollars and AD’s and coaches make millions in salary before the athletes (the product) were going to want their cut? That is what was unsustainable.

Shut down college football for one year is all it would take. What would they do then? Who's gonna pay them for their name image and likeness then? They don't have squat without the platform. If we're putting it in a "business" term. Close the business and they get nothing. Leverage.

Infrastucture is worth more than the interns, ask the patent court.

If the NCAA was about amateurism, it never would have been commercialized. Want to fix things. Take all games off of TV. No sponsorships. Nothing. Then you get an entity that is closer to rec sports than the nfl.
Without the school, they have NOTHING! No team. No gym. No coaches. No training. No coaching. No free scholarship. No stadium to play in. No promotion for people to come and see them play. No infrastructure. No means to showcase themselves for an ACTUAL professional career. You can say "without the athletes they don't get that money" all you want. Without the school they get zero. They're welcome to graduate high school and pay to get coached, trained, etc while they wait until they're old enough to play in the PROS. And guess what....the school will continue just fine as an academic institutions and receive billions in research dollars. And guess what else? They aren't paying all these students doing the work in research for that university. So yeah, the school is receiving money for students studying.
