So if the courts are saying it’s unconstitutional to restrict their ability to earn a living, doesn’t that eliminate them from being “student athletes” but professional athletes “earning a living” instead?
If that’s the case, they should be made to sign legitimate contracts that specifically detail what is and what is not required for them to get paid. Let’s use the NFL model and add salary caps, etc. The NCAA is no longer a useful organization, its time to come clean and admit that college football and basketball (others to follow) are now professional minor league franchises.
