Exactly. The “problem” is staffs on bowl teams have to juggle game prep and recruiting at the same time.

Can't imagine they continue with this many bowl games in the future -- especially if the teams participating are all going to be missing a bunch of their best players.

Seems more likely there will be a non-P4 playoff coming, which moves the G5 that much closer to FCS status

Then half of the P4’s which are lower tier will be screaming to have access and take over the G5 playoff. Like they ruined the NIT recently by taking away the auto bids for conference regular season champs in basketball.

Have we ever thought why fan support in G5 sports across the country are going down? It’s because it seems as though we are playing for nothing. Fans are getting tired of the players bailing on us when we finally get good and have a shot at building something. It is in the back of my mind constantly.

Well yeah, G5 is minor league sports.

Read the Facebook comments on some of these "respect my decision" portal announcements. The people who support the players' bailing all frame the decision as "you put in your time at a small school and now you're getting the call-up to the big leagues"
