I understand it from the kids' perspective, but i really hate what College Athletics has become.
Reality strikes. Hate to lose him. Hope not a herd with him.
No one wants to admit it but we are Japanese baseball.
You go there to get playing time against decent competition, with the hopes of showing out enough to get a shot with a MLB club.
And in most of these cases, that "shot" will wind up being a part-time utility player who gets some time during mop-up duty or blowout rubber matches.
Would you rather play alot in Japan, or a little on a MLB team and enjoy all of the perks that comes with that?
This is today’s world. Build roster year to year instead of for 4 years.
