UL Basketball Womans Basketball: a Free Game Sport

I thought we had a single digit win team under Errol Rodgers. Could be wrong

    4: 2007-2008, his first year, 8-22; 2008-2009, 3-27; 2009-2010, 9-22; 2011-2012 (his last season), 7-23. All 5 seasons, losing records.

Garry had one also, 2018-2019, 7-23.

I see what you did there.
Womens teams have had many of those seasons.

However in a precursor to the current mens situation the coaching staffs were retained.

WBB is a half of century of futility with an occasional pulse. See WSOC and VB, abet different time spans.

Non revenue, nobody cares but parents and occasional fans.

MBB headed there unless it gets fixed.

Women's basketball was always irrelevant, even when Kim Perrot and Rhonda McCullough were lighting up the national scoring ranks, until J. Kelley Hall was hired. They followed him with Errol Rogers (incredible mistake). They followed that mistake by not rehiring Hall after Cincinnati let him go two years later.

I didn’t mean to start a women basketball thread. I just said the wrong bad coaches name in the mens thread. My bad, carry on.

It's ok. It's not a bad idea to have a thread about the women. They are likely going to win more games than the men.

I've watched the women more than the men this season. in my opinion, Gary's deepest team, especially when he gets a couple of bigs healthy. They haven't played this season yet, but we're causing about 20 TOs a game. I counted 9 on the roster that are either grads or seniors. Crazy!

Defensive TO 22.4/game, while offensive TO is 16.3. +6.1 game.

38.7 turnovers a game is tough to watch, kudos SR.

    Stats thru 7 games.
