HC specified that it's a perception issue on the part of TCU fans. That is also likely the case with fans of any Power conference team. They will always think they are light years ahead of any non-Power conference team, no matter how recently they got into a Power conference.
Unfortunately, that is not the case with the TCU coaching staff. They will treat the Cajuns like they are coming in to steal their lunch money and will prepare accordingly. They probably feel that they need to win by three touchdowns to retain any national respect among the media and potential recruits, which will be important going forward for their program. It will not be easy for the Cajuns to win this game.
TCU has spent the last few decades trying to make moves to escape the Sunbelts of the world.
This isn't so much a condescending angle for them, but because they are relatively new in their current arena they feel they are backsliding.
Don’t let the facts dictate your opinion.
