Comparing 1984 to 2024 is stupid. Back then the AA was the university's fundraising arm and was funded by the university. Now fundraising is the responsibility of the foundation and doesn't have the same roll or resources. As far as the name goes, the AA has been fighting for a change but can't even get a new fleur des les logo with Louisiana Alumni approved.
