Braylon Braxton threw for 193 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Marshall gained 217 yards on the ground and controlled the football for nearly 34 minutes in earning a 31-3 victory over Louisiana in the 2024 Hercules Tire Sun Belt Conference Football Championship on Saturday at Cajun Field.

Our D wasn't all that terrible......they were not good but they got no help at all from our offense. None. Once we scored 3.... next 3.5 quarters was painful.

The Jake Delhomme's of the world don't come around often.

But even he threw a lot of interceptions early on if I recall.

The difference was, the defense would give the ball right back and say try again.

It would not have made a difference in the W/L outcome, but your observation lends to why you take the three point when Chandler Fields went down.

Taking the points slows down "loose and confident" and the game is a little closer.

Dude was beyond rough. He was overthrowing literally everything.

He fell for the "I won't see the field this year" trap and devoted all his time to the weight room.

He can throw better than he did vs Marshall and he will.

Zero muscle memory last night, capped off with an endless supply of arm adrenaline and a topping of nerves will do that

He will do better with all the repetitions leading up to the bowl game

Throwing into coverage is a different matter. Can't do that.

Running backs aren't the problem. We need to find another line because we're losing this one, but that might not be a bad thing based on what I saw last night. He's gonna have to hit the portal hard.

The OL has struggled most of the year. The DL has been an embarrassment.
