Just an FYI for tomorrow. Marshall has a young man from Lafayette on their roster. Number 40 Anthony Richard Jr. I think he portaled from Northwestern State. We did recruit him out of high school. Played at LCA.

This is the most overlooked part. Some schools will be dropping over 30 players to get under the limit. Those aren’t kids looking for a different spot but are being cut & forced into the portal.

This is going to add a number of athletes in the portal. Napier has to cut his roster by 30 to 40 players. Others will be in the same position. This is why programs like UL can what until the portal closes to add athletes.

My USM sources say it's a done deal, but won't be announced until probably Sunday.

They should've just announced it, its more of a distraction with the "possibility" looming over the program rather than ripping the bandaid off. We didnt hide the fact that billy accepted the Florida job before the SBC champ game.

Through the years as player, coach, and fan I have seen the transfers come and go…..bring guys up or get guys from a better ranked school and what are the results? Hit and Miss!!! Coach Augi Tam hit it great with about 17 trans along with some freshmen and very tough returnees…..so, as a present portal dude, do I want $, star status, playing time, academic integrity, or unknowns???……as a school recruiting the portals do I want a position guy, a puppy that will develop, a leader, a chance that could be a difference maker, or a twitchy guy?
