Mike most definitely deserves this award. He's done an excellent job here. And what he had to go through with the beginning of NIL and the transfer portal his first year as head coach was no easy task. But he was determined and focused on getting the job done and doing it right. And to the contrary of what the Armchair Quarterbacks are saying and the negative CMD big mouths!

You'll never find a man that is more dedicated and loyal to this university than Michael Desormeaux, never!

All I ever said was Louisiana couldn't afford an inexperienced hire and was a better job than on the job training. When I said it I also said he would eventually be a good coach. Glad I was only right for only two years and am glad to be right earlier than expected because I thought it would take longer.

I’ll gladly be wrong and watch our team win 10 games than be “proven” right in my skepticism as we stumble through a 10 loss season.

From the moment Coach Dez was hired, I was hoping and praying he would have the same success and more that Coach Napier had. Looks like both of their first few years here were almost identical, and I'm EXTATIC!!!
