The way Dez tells it, it wasn't much of a decision. When he was coming out of HS, UL was apparently the only school offering him a ticket.

I was color commentator on 1420 for one of his highschool games against Tuerlings.

Desormeaux had the prettiest arched long ball passing styles I had ever seen (to that point) consistently dropping right in the hands of his reciever down field.

At UL Bustle absolutely would not let him throw that pass.

In practice he had to throw it on a clothsline or not at all.

DITTO, Where do you begin? I am one who felt we’d would not do better than 7 wins and I’m glad my prediction was way off.

Don’t feel alone, 7 wins wasn’t going to cause me to jump for joy. Some will say “but 7-1”, have to let the season play out. Cajuns just beat a team that was 5-1, their base got giddy, and how all that worked out for ULM?
