Agree, we have none of that. Competing at the high major level will be like a blind squirrel finding a nut for UL. Look at Georgia State, nice run, built an arena, now embracing the suck SBC basketball is.
Need a young 30ish coach up and coming that wants to make a name for himself, RCAF/NIL need to fundraise. Get a major win, maybe two, win the 1 out of 14 March lottery and leave.
Wash, rinse and repeat.
They could get Will Wade for half of what they're paying this clown. Oh but wait, he's a Ryan St High guy. God forbid.
McNeese upped him to a 5 year, 700k per year deal in Feb 24, 1 mill buyout. Google is your friend.
There is no WW unicorn out there to hire. They hired a guy that flat out lied to his boss. A great coach, but not a great employee. He’ll leave, and the universe will correct in LC. McNeese might be doing exactly what Tech did, all in for athletics.
In no universe or dimension should McNeese ever be better than us in Men's Basketball.
We have a bigger budget than them. We have much more resources than them. We have a bigger fan base than them. In no way should it be even close. But they took a chance and ran with it, and now they are dominating us in NIL, fan support, and overall success. And they did in less than a year. December 22nd is going to be embarrassing for us.
