The Vermilion Parish Tourist Commission continues to watch its budget get smaller and smaller because of the downturn in the economy.
Recently the Tourist Commission had to adjust its budget and slice $2,000 from it because the Tourist Commission budget was on track to be short four months into the year.
At the start of January, the Tourist Commission cut $10,000 from its budget a year ago. Alison Miller, the executive director, budgeted $75,000 to operate. But recently, she cut it to $73,000.
