This is amazing news! I remember very vividly a few years ago when we couldn’t find anyone who could kick a 25-yard FG consistently. What a blessing to have this young man the last few years!!

If I remember correctly, his first game, he missed a few relatively short field goals and then came in and kicked a walk-off 50+ yarder....

Absolutely! PK was so bad at one point, had to get within 35 yards just to have a chance, and most of the time UL went for it. Remember this guy? Nice person. That said a lot about ST recruiting back then.

Last night prior to announcing the Lou Groza Award, ESPN announced the Walter Campbell All-America 1st Team. When I saw Kenny's name pop up there, I thought it highly likely he's going to win the Lou Groza.

Brauchle was not a bad recruit, he was the #3 JUCO ranked kicker in the country and an Honorable Mention JUCO All-American. He did not pan out and ended up at USM where he played for them, mostly as a kickoff specialist. Recruiting him was not the problem, the expectation was that he was going to be good, he just did not work out.
