I am thoroughly surprised. I know he deserved it, but I did not expect him to get it.

Surprised because he made 2nd team All American, then won the award. There are other All American teams to be announced. He should now make 1st team. BTW, was Coach Dez at the award ceremony with him? Hope so. A great moment for Almendares and for UL!
