So now that the PAC is no more and has only 2 members with only one, Washington St being bowl eligible that will leave an opening for Indy Bowl for us vs possibly an American opponent. Army or Navy??
But then there is this article:

    https://fbschedules.com/independence...ough-2025/amp/

Looks like Army is a shoe in for Indy bowl in 2024 vs PAC but there is no PAC so we could get in. Man that would be awesome.
    This would be awesome.

Independence bowl seems to have failed to meet their ties in way more than any other bowl....
And was usually the p4/5 not meeting the requirement.

For this year, Pac12 tie ins include the legacy schools (those now in the Big Ten, Acc, etc). So, think “old” Pac12.

Independence is a slight possibility from what I’m hearing. But I wouldn’t say likely.

    But I’ll reiterate….it ain’t gonna be NO.

I hope the bowl we go to is within a six hours driving distance. If it’s going to be a plane ride, I think our attendance would suffer. Some people have a hard time taking off more than two or three days in the middle of the week. Geaux Cajuns!

Brett McMurphy has us now in the NM Bowl vs. North Texas.
Still has Army vs. TX State in the Indy Bowl.

I just don't see a world where the SBC would send UL to the NM Bowl vs. UNT and not send UL(potential ranked conference champ) to Indy Bowl vs. Army(a potential ranked conference champ)
TX State is closer to NM Bowl than us.
UL is closer to the Indy bowl.

If there is a world like that then its stupid.

It's not really up to the SBC. They may have a voice, but ESPN is making those decisions.

You would think ESPN would want two ranked G5 champions playing in the Indy bowl

Yeah, you would think so, but I have a bad feeling they're sending us to New Mexico
