Time to move on from the 2024 CFP chances discussion and pull for Dez and the team to finish this season out strong. 12-2 would be a fantastic season, but yeah...win the next two. Bowl game could be a wildcard, though a program builder if it results in a win over someone like a Florida, Baylor or Navy. Either way, though SBC Champs finishing at 11-3 or 12-2 has to be seen as major improvement from the first two seasons.
    I want Arkansas

Be careful my friend, there’s a boatload of talent graduating. And I’d bet some poaching is coming post season.
Next year will be a tough one with everyone they're losing. Even if Howard does come here and win the job, who will block for him? The whole damn line is graduating.
I feel like 2025 will be another 6-6, 7-5 year and anything better would be great.

This is the one thing that would get me to stop watching college football. At some point, there needs to be some sort of rules so this constant ____ will stop.

As much as I'd like to see it happen, 2 losses coupled with weaker SOS relative to others leaves us out of CFP mix. Of course it ain't over til its over.

Host/winning the conference championship, getting ranked, & winning bowl game will stand out as super successful season. There remains a lot to be pleased about this season's progress outperforming expectations.

Tulane is currently ranked 20 in the CFP and could very well be ranked 17 or 18 this week. Unless they lose to Memphis by a big margin, I don't see them dropping out of the top 25 CFP, and, if they win the championship, will certainly be ranked. Louisiana almost certainly will not be ranked even if they win the next two convincingly, and, even if they are, will be below Tulane in this scenario.

A 3 loss Tulane with only FCS and G5 wins will not be ranked ahead of the Cajuns.

3 loss Tulane would be out of Top 25.

Tulane also has a considerably higher SOS than does the Cajuns and beat Louisiana head to head. I still believe that, barring a blowout by Memphis, even if Tulane does lose to Memphis but beats Army in the CCG, they will be ranked and we won't.

That's my opinion, which, as my wife is fond of reminding me, ain't worth the price of a cup of coffee.
