With the way this college football season has gone, there's no telling what could happen. Even though some of the big names are crying (boo friggin hoo) the 12 team playoff is doing exactly what it was meant to do. The playoff has created excitement week in and week out throughout all of college football. Cajuns will be left out regardless imo, but to still be in the conversation is a hell of a lot of fun.
I haven’t worked it out on paper yet - but could there be a scenario where both the AAC and SB champs are ranked ahead of the Big XII champ?
Nevada and Army are the back up plans. Boise got stalled in the rankings for awhile with a good gap from the next spot up, but enough losses happened the powers that be had no choice but to slide them up.
A SBC team will have to run the table and still need the stars to align.
3 plays, 10 pts away from being in the mix...
Although the media still uses G5 term, there is no such thing anymore. That term was doned on 5 conferences when the auto bid for the NY6 was created. Now it is simply the highest ranked 5 conference champs out of 9 FBS conferences that get auto bids for the CFP. So we all need to quit using the G5 term. It is no longer.
No. But Dez's 3rd year. We've progressed from the previous 2 years. We remained in the playoff conversation for a while. Things are only looking brighter. Let's build on this momentum. GEAUX CAJUNS!
