tulane drops one to memphis, then wins AAC championship, and boise drops their conf champ game, id say we had a long shot if we win out. i mean really long, but still a shot none the less
its UNLV. what if UNLV loses their finale to nevada (would be a bad loss since Nevada is 0-fer in conference) and then wins the champ game against boise?
Still have Tulane and Army in the AAC to contend with. Tulane is ranked high enough that, even if they lose to Memphis but beat Army in the CG, they will be higher ranked than the Cajuns. Army's next game is the championship, so if they win, they will certainly be ranked higher than Louisiana. ESPN gives Louisiana a 0.5% chance, so yes, I stand corrected, there is a chance.
Here’s a dumb senario. Army could lose to utsa this weekend beat tulane in the CC. Then lose to navy.
Boise could lose to Colorado state in the CC. Army would get in the playoff then lose to navy and get in losing 3 of their last 4 games. I know stupid, but possible.
I guess if army and Tulane both lose this weekend than Tulane wins the aac with 3 losses and csu beats Boise and csu has 4 losses maybe Cajuns get in at 12-2.
If UNLV loses to Nevada and CO State beats Utah State this week. CO St gets in the CCG vs Boise St. CO st needs to beat Boise.
Tulane loses to Memphis. Army loses to UTSA. Army beats Tulane in CCG but hey this one is a toss up if that happens but don’t want to come down to us and Tulane cause they beat us.
UL beats ULM and wins CCG.
We are in.
Hey we have a small shot. lol.
My bad. CSU lost. So unlv plays in the mwc cc with a win this weekend. Winner of unlv/ boise would be ahead of Cajuns. Basically we need aac and mwc champs to have 3 losses for us to have a chance.
….Thanks y’all…..I think as it stands now, 3 plays have killed us….1) the pic 6 vs Tulane,,,2)the KOff return Vs Tulane,,,,,3) the failed 2 point attempt vs USA….thinking with the “mo” we win in OT!………are there other plays to add???
With the way this college football season has gone, there's no telling what could happen. Even though some of the big names are crying (boo friggin hoo) the 12 team playoff is doing exactly what it was meant to do. The playoff has created excitement week in and week out throughout all of college football. Cajuns will be left out regardless imo, but to still be in the conversation is a hell of a lot of fun.
