    The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Basketball team meets former Sun Belt foe New Orleans on Tuesday, November 26 at 6:00 p.m. inside the Cajundome, completing the squad's November homestand.

    They were big rivals in men's basketball for a good while.

    UNO had some good basketball teams in the late 60s and could keep up pretty well. La Tech did as well.

    Yes, that is correct. I remember the Long Beach game around 70 or so. Jerry Tarkenian was coach and Loing Beach and Cajuns were top 10. Cajuns one, but it was one for the ages. Also, at that time, Oral Roberts was really plugging his BB team for publicity (similar to what Liberty is doing now). Cajuns one that one also. In those years, Blackham was packed. So many tickets were sold that students were relegated to the rafters.
