Default MBB Podcast. Houston and Rice games

https://x.com/wearetalkingtoo/status...EjYI1wMJjT7U5A In the podcast linked above, Craig Melancon and I discuss the issues the Cajuns MBB squad faced in the last two games. Note, this is strictly a semi technical ON COURT analysis of the performances. We understand neither of us are qualified to give a true technical review. We also understand the frustration at the results may cause some not being interested in our comments.

No one really cares about UL basketball anymore until Marlin is gone. Sad considering what used to be.

Love the passion......until Marlin is gone, basketball isn't worth any time investment.

Can say this with 99.9999% accuracy. Our 1 et only chance to make the 64 is win the belt in March. Only to lose by 60+ as a 16 seed. It's only Nov 21 and season for fans is already over

Like I said, we understand many people are not interested in basketball at this stage. No problem if you don’t want to take the time to listen. It obviously is not as much fun discussing things now as compared to a couple of years ago. However there may be a few people interested in an analytical review of what we see on the court. Therefore we still try to put out a quality product for those folks, whatever the number may be. Craig can see the number of listeners we have on Spotify and X. We still have a decent following.

Apathy at all time high and gets worse every year with Bob still coach. Wish he would just resign so I could get back some passion for basketball and want to listen.

It has been over 40 years since we were a basketball school.

We tried being a basketball school 24 years ago--we literally just finished "paying" for that experiment 3 years ago.

You are seeing the results of that experiment--an administration whose priority is to not be in that position again.

Fill me in, what happened 24 years ago in 2000?

Glynn Cyprien was 2004. (20 years ago)

Jessie Evans was 1997 (27 years ago)

Thanks for the podcast, Mike and Craig! Good information on both games. We were out of the country and not able to follow. I am hopeful these new players will continue to improve together during the season.
