Louisiana, as does many other G5 schools, always schedules an FCS opponent. None of these will be sexy and you might as well schedule a local one in the hope that they will bring some people to the game.

Disagree partly.

Got no problem with in-state FCS schools. Got no problem with Rice, Tulane and latech. Got no problem with the P4 game.

It's the EMU/UAB/Kenn St schedule slot that is the problem.

That should be another P4 game or another "special" G6 school like Boise, Service Academies.

4) Big Brand G5(Boise/Service Academies) or P4(2 for 1 or singles)

I disagree. Tulane, Rice, UAB, and La Tech are all schools numerous posters here have cited as desirable future conference mates. Who knows what Kennesaw State will be like in three years and Eastern Michigan is an away game. Missouri is certainly a solid add, hopefully not too solid. If you're going to schedule FCS schools, and many/most G5 schools do, Lamar and McNeese are as good or better than anything else.
