App and JMU do play Or St and W St, respectively, at home, but that was a fluke, the result of the PAC12 dissolving and those schools needing to schedule quick.
The rest looks no better, and maybe worse than the Cajuns.
I agree a 3-for-1 P4 series is so much more business savy than anything a FeCeS opponent can bring to the table.
It makes you more attractive to all future opponents. As soon as you have the reputation the 3-for-1 series won't be necessary. It will eventually dwindle to 2-for1 and EVENTUALLY to HOME AND HOME.
Opponents will not schedule you till they think beating you will improve their ranking.
History suggests we're in very little danger of a 'big school' visiting Cajun Field. Oklahoma St and Kansas St. were the last ones about 15 years ago. It takes two to tango, but if we're successful in adding more Tulane and latech to future football schedules, both generate fan interest. Tulsa and UAB are also future season good gets to Cajun Field, so good job on those two.
Its a 3-1
They just want a home crowd.
They pay you an appearance fee for the first two visits. Going rate.
The third away visit is equal to a home-home. Free
Their return visit has increased gate due to situational awarness and increased gate from a high quality visiting program that the fans are well aware of.
The financial benefits far outweigh lost home gate.
In reality you are only losing 1 home date with a 3 for one.
Perhaps they are holding off on scheduling the 2-1's yall want until we have completely finished stadium upgrades (east&west) if we get a big opponet down here again i dont think we should host that with construction going on.
